  Yesterday I visited the dundas and dufferin location hakim opticle because of my frame was broken ,but I couldn't get the help I needed. After frustrated, I went to bloor and dufferin location and was so happy with Profesional services I received from two ladies working there. They provided me good frame with reasonable price. Dr. Moeini performed my eye exam and he was very thorough and ready to answer any questions! Super friendly too. The two ladies at the front are also very kind and knowledgeable.   Went here today for an eye exam and was considering a pair of $500 glasses. My current glasses got damaged badly so it was hard to see out of them. I asked for a free trial pair of contacts so I can see better until I find some new glasses and was told only if I buy the glasses! This is customary practice at a lot of other places and often times doesn't cost them anything since trial lenses are free from the manufacture. They showed very little regard or concern for customers and are just interested in quick money instead of helping people. The eye exam was good. I bought a pair there today, and Paula helped me select the perfect pair of glasses and she was so kind, knowledgeable and had me in and out in less than 20 minutes.   The 2 girls sitting behind the desk were fine to talk to but there’s a miserable middle aged woman who speaks to people who walk into the store in a very condescending way. Answering simple questions don’t require sarcastic answers. Even the two girls working there looked uncomfortable by the way this lady was speaking to various customers.   I am a long term customer at this Hakim branch. I am always very impressed with the high quality of service I receive, both Victoria and Patricia are very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. The store is well laid out and it is easy to browse and try on the glasses, lots of well placed mirrors. Sometimes when I go there it is quite busy but the staff are very efficient so wait times are usually minimal and the experience of dealing with Victoria and Patricia makes the wait worthwhile.   I met Dr. Moeini, the optometrist at this location, before I had the pleasure of interacting with Vicky and Fabi. The doctor was quick and very polite, and answered all my questions. This is the first time I ever got a prescription for glasses, and no one ever warned me about how complex the world of glass wearing would be. I don’t consider myself an easy customer, mostly because I really dislike shopping. When I realized that choosing the right glasses would take much longer than I had planned, I panicked a bit, but Vicky and Fabi were brilliant, they answered all my questions, made excellent suggestions, gave me some really amazing advice, and helped me through the who decision making process. These two are a great team, they are smart, patient, and SO funny!. They went above and beyond their duties, and I am happy to have met such great people. I was able to take my time to choose from a big selection of interesting and diverse quality frames of which I picked two. Some real classics and beauties there. I was informed of my lens options and what may be suitable and one I made transition lenses. When my pair of glasses were ready they were presented in sturdy attractive cases with cloths and I was handed my one year warranties for each.   Hi, I have been going to Hakim Optical at 1091 Bloor Street West for about 11 years now and the service has been excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I have grown to become friends with them, namely Vicky and Pat. Vicky has been there since I first started going, and always offers me a discount because of customer loyalty. Most times I end up buying 2 of Hakim Optical's stylish frames, as I recently did this past week and I am very happy with the service and product. Pat whom I met not too long ago, is wonderful and offers very good customer service. I plan to continue going to Hakim Optical as long as I have eye sight needs ( I also did my eye exam there), and I highly recommend their service to everyone.   A bad experience all around. Do not go. In summation : -They do not take insurance of any kind. You are to pay up front and submit a claim yourself - I blame this entirely on them. If they are reading this - you need to hire someone to do this. - Was misled, told I needed an eye exam to get contact lenses. After being told by the Doctor that I don't need the test, I was told by the staff that I need a contact lens fitting. The woman who answered my phone call stepped forward and told me she told me this over the phone - a downright lie. She did not tell me this, and insisted over the phone that I need an eye exam. - They asked me where I was getting my contact lenses. After telling them I was buying them online, they clammed up, insisting that I needed to purchase the lenses from them to "get an optician to ensure all is fine". They questioned me about my previous eye doctor, and when I told them I don't remember, they chastised me, saying it was crazy that I did not know who it was. After continuing on this, they told me how "perilous" it is to buy contact lenses online. I turned around and left. Absolutely unprofessional, and the sales push on their own products is frankly unseemly. I just wanted to get new contact lenses, and instead wasted an hour and a half of my time.   I have been going to Hakim Optical (initially the Yonge & Sheppard location and now the Bloor and Dufferin location) for over a decade and I can honestly say that every visit exceeds my expectations. Service is quick and friendly. Victoria @ Bloor & Dufferin location is super helpful, gives great tips as to what glasses look best on you, and is always happy to assist with questions or inquiries whether you end up purchasing glasses or not.   Went there for contact lenses, and tried two pair and brought a whole year of weekly contact lenses from Johnson, which wasn't comfortable at all once got home. Then, I decided to return my pre-order which was one hours later. Guess what, the middle age lady was not happy at all and gave me that attitude about returning and CHARGED me 30 DOLLARS FEE for TRYING that FREE lenses form the manufacture. The whole year weekly disposal lenses was around 100 dollars and she only returned 70 dollars to me without any receipt!!!! HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT go there if you want to get humiliated !! I paid the same amount for a single pair instead of two uncomfotrable and iricksome glasses for a designer one in another professiona store and never wore the Hakim ones again. The doctor is great though very kind and a true professional. I am a busy man but if I had time I would have fought to get all my money back. Don't go to Hakims instead go to professional and classy stores. Don't be fooled by the garbage deals two for one. Buy a single designner glass with the same amount of money with all your needs and comfort fulfilled.
