  Collected my new glasses today and am delighted with them. Have to thank Craig, Cathy, Keith Ryan and all the fantastic team at Millicans. By far the most outstanding service I've received from any opticians. Certainly the best in Liverpool. Very professional and great advice. Would highly recommend 10 out of 10.   Fantastic service from an amazing team! We called to see if we could get toddler glasses the same day and were amazed at how helpful the team were. Kathy helped us over the phone so when we arrived the lenses were ready and within a few minutes Shaun had helped us choose the best frames. 30 minutes later our little boy was fitted with his new glasses!   Visited Millicans on Allerton Rd & had the misfortune to speak to the rudest & most arrogant person I've met in a long time. The older guy wearing glasses provided the most terrible customer service I've experienced, after asking me if he could help me I was then told he had no time to help me as he was busy with another customer & I'd have to call back. Obviously, I'll never be back, by contrast the customer service at Bennet & Batty Opticians a short walk along Allerton Rd was exceptional, with a special mention to a young lady named Esher.   Always great service. This branch is always very busy so it’s best to book well in advance. The staff are always polite and helpful. I have been using this branch for many years.   Wow what customer service. I had a Christmas eve appointment, from the moment we walked in. The staff very friendly and professional. Nothing was too much . The the best thing of all. I got my new glasses with in 2 1/2 hours of walking in. They exceed my expectations. Plus it didn't cost an arm and a leg.   I've been to a few opticians in Liverpool but I've never been to one so accommodating. I had an eye test and bought my frames elsewhere but wanted to have lenses put in by Millicans so after the IPD measurement, then sent the frames off (to Ray Ban). When I got them back, I found there was a discrepancy so instead of vary focal, I decided to have my eye test done again but this time order two glasses; one for reading and another for driving. Both Shaun and Jill were absolutely superb in understanding the issue I had with the vary focal and sought to resolve the situation without complaint. I've been very impressed with their service and would strongly advise anyone to consider Millicans in Allerton as their first port of call.   Life savers, struggling for a pair of glasses and found Millicans online. A quick phone call and a visit i had a new pair of glasses in under an hour. Will never use anybody else again.   I've always normally used one of the big chain opticians, but got recommended Millicans from a friend. Considering how indecisive I am they were really accommodating, they have a wide range of glasses and really go that extra mile to make sure you get the right glasses for you. These are definitely my new opticians and I can't recommend them enough.   Great customer experience with this optician. Real designger range not just a few mediocre frames. I purchased both Valentino Rockstud frames and YSL sunglasses both with varifocals.   I wish I could give a more detailed review, but my experience of their service was limited: having made arrangements to take time off work, I made an appointment for a contract lens check. I was buying my lenses online for value for money, but of course like to ensure my eyes are healthy, and pay for a check each year. Upon arriving the optician called my name, and said are you here for a contract lens fitting? I explained why I was there, at which point he dismissively stated that they don't do contact lens checks for people who buy their lenses online. And that was that! A complete waste of my time, and a rather puzzling waste of theirs. They now had a wasted appointment slot, and wouldn't be getting paid for doing a routine contact lenses check. Baffling and frustrating in equal measure.   I called into the Allerton Road shop today with the full intention of buying a new pair of glasses, as I'd just returned from abroad and left my main pair in a hotel. When I entered the shop, I had quick look for the mens designer section, which wasn't clearly marked, so walked to the counter at the back of the shop where 2 staff members were sat down talking amongst themselves. I asked where the mens frames where and was given a pointed 'they're over there' without either of them enquiring any further. Already slightly bemused at the poor service, I had a look at the range, and was still not clear on what was what, as some were obviously womens. I walked fully around the shop twice in 15 mins (in which time the 2 members of staff had got off their backsides to check out a toddler who was with a woman they both seemed to know...) and I was not spoken to at all. I thought I would just leave to see if either of them would attempt any communication with a customer who had come in, the only customer in there(!), to make a purchase... but no, they let me just walk out. So, 15-20 mins spent in the shop, all I got in the way of help was 'they're over there'. That's beyond poor service, I would have to swear to describe it correctly. Some businesses use/advertise the fact they're independent as some kind of right to have you're business, but poor service is poor service, whether from a chain or a true independent. I'd avoid Millicans, and I won't be going back there.
