  My 7 year old has been suffering with headaches and I was advised by the doctor that an eye test was the first port of call. I didn’t want to take her to a big chain, instead opting for Edwards and Walker opticians where I knew Ms Basra, the optometrist specialised in children’s eyes. I really wanted to be sure to get the best opinion as I was understandably quite worried. We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived at the practice. We were promptly seen by Ms Basra and she made me feel at ease (as I mentioned I was quite worried), she did a really thorough examination, she went through everything at the end and was so good with my 7 year old! I really felt like we were in good hands and left feeling really reassured that there was nothing wrong with my daughters vision. I also had an eye test which determined I needed stronger glasses, they had a great range of frames and did they new glasses for me there and then! I won’t go anywhere else now for eye tests. I would highly recommend Edwards and Walkers Opticians, especially if you have children. Thank you! Fomos prontamente atendidos pela Dona Basra e ela me deixou tranquila (como mencionei que estava bastante preocupada), fez um exame bem minucioso, revisou tudo no final e ficou muito bem com meu filho de 7 anos! Eu realmente senti que estávamos em boas mãos e saí me sentindo muito segura de que não havia nada de errado com a visão de minhas filhas. Também fiz um exame de vista que determinou que eu precisava de óculos mais fortes, eles tinham uma grande variedade de armações e faziam novos óculos para mim ali mesmo! Não irei a nenhum outro lugar agora para fazer exames oftalmológicos. Eu recomendo a Edwards and Walkers Opticians, especialmente se você tiver filhos. Obrigado!

  Lovely staff who give great service. The optician Prety got me a hospital appointment really quickly when she suspected that I had a serious problem. Bit pricey compared to other places.   Lovely staff, so helpful. When I arrived it was the first appointment I’d had after lock down and just had a baby, I was very anxious and the staff soon put me at ease and were so helpful through out the appointment Amazing team!   This is a fantastic place to go, I have been using this Opticians for a few years now and I particularly like the personal service in a relaxing environment.   Excellent, professional & thorough service. Extensive choice of frames to pick from, so nice to have so much choice as opposed to other opticians.   I have only been once to the above opticians two years ago.The staff were brilliant My eyes were thoroughly checked over.I was offered the deep scan of my eyes at a cost to me but well worth it. I am now under a Mr.Anand at Doncaster Royal infirmary as a result of being referred by the opticians.when my treatment and cataract operation is complete I will not hesitate to go back to Edwards & Walker.I would definitely recommend.   Cannot fault Edmund and Walkers in Doncaster. We have been going there for years. My son had issues with his sight it was picked up on a visit for a routine test. Would highly recommend them.   After a humiliating frightening experience at Boots opticians my husband found this one with great reviews so I came for an eye test. They were very understanding of my struggle with a mask(unlike Boots who shouted at me for easing it below my nose to ease my asthmatic breathing) and with my nervousness. They were all so kind, I actually enjoyed it and I will DEFINITELY bring my autistic daughter here for her next test. Even hubby said he'd never set foot in Boots again. Thank you so much to all the lovely staff for making me feel at ease. I highly recommend this lovely place.   Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable team. They have been very organised during the coronavirus pandemic, and I felt safe and suitable socially distanced during my appointment. The only downside is that it is quite expensive, but worth the money for an eye test, check up and advice on the health of your eyes, which is clearly very important.   Afew weeks ago my 83yr old mam was given end of life care in hospital, after seeing one of her lense was broke I took them to her opticians (which were you) after getting them fixed i was able to pass them to a nurse (restricted visiting) whilst waiting for them being repaired mam improved so the day after she got her glasses she was transferred to a care home. On Tuesday I went to ave a quick visit at mams (thru a window without her knowing) it broke my heart...her new glasses ad disappeared..no one could help..I was mortified n crying. So today (Thurs) i went back to the same branch and told the fabulous young lady what had happened. Obviously I cried!! Her reaction was most sincere.. she helped me! She not only fixed me up with a brand new set (with chain) she did it within 15 minutes!! I cannot praise her enough. My mam will be over the moon.
