  I bought my first pair of glasses from here and the customer service is fantastic! The store is owned and run by 2 opticians who work at the store and care about its reputation and the customers experience. They offer a unique range of good quality glasses and will do their best to make sure you get the right frame and are completely happy.   Specstacular is the ultimate eyewear experience. The time had finally come for me to acquire my first pair of glasses.  I was nervous.  A trusted friend with amazing glasses recommended I meet with Keval and Hala, the duo behind Specstacular. After a warm welcome, I was gently and expertly guided through a process to select a pair of glasses from a unique and often exclusive range of beautiful eyewear.    Selecting frames and colours to suit my face, Keval and Hala helped me create a shortlist from which I was delighted to select my chosen frames and lenses.   We even enjoyed mugs of tea and posh biscuits (Elizabeth Shaw, if you're asking).   This place takes the optician to a new level. It’s a level of attention to detail and customer service I didn’t even know existed when it came to glasses. They take so many factors into account when designing your lenses and choosing frames with you. Truly bespoke. From a purely aesthetic point of view they have the most incredible selection of vintage and new frames. I got some Cazals, which I’ve always wanted and love them.   Recommended by a friend in the know, visiting Spectacular is a ‘best life’ experience. From eye test to frames choices - it’s just a pleasure to visit with most amazing personalised service. I’d originally planned to get some everyday glasses but having seen how Keval and Hala just seem to be able to ‘see’ what suits people - with their help also tried some sunglasses - ending up with a beautiful subtle pair. Within 10 minutes of leaving the shop someone I didn’t know had complemented them and asked where they were from! I’ve spent the few weeks since feeling like a like a minor celebrity in the sunshine.   I came across this store while browsing Brick Lane Market one day and asked if they had any round spectacles. I had been looking to recreate glasses from an image of my great grandfather on his wedding day. They confirmed they had plenty of options and could probably find some very similar to what I was looking for. I then booked an appointment to view the options, in which the staff were incredibly helpful and I was able to find the perfect pair of vintage 1930's glasses. A couple of weeks later I picked up my glasses and I will certainly be going back and telling everyone I know to go there.   This is the best place to get glasses in London. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Incredible customer service from start to finish. They always go the extra mile to ensure their customers are 100% satisfied. They have an incredible eye for what suits you and make some unexpected suggestions that always really work.   This place is amazing, such a hidden gem! I've recommended them to everyone who will listen since, as has my friend who came for moral support when I chose my new frames. It's full of beautiful and quirky, vintage and new frames in all shapes and sizes and the couple who run it are knowledgable, patient and fun. After a warm welcome and an eye test downstairs, I came back upstairs to find a selection of glasses laid out that they thought would suit me. Their suggestions turned out to be absolutely right. After lots of faffing, trying on frames in other shops, I came back and bought the pair they'd first suggested. And I get a compliment almost every day about them! :-) It was the first time I'd ever had glasses so I felt nervous, and wearing something over my eyes felt odd. They were incredibly patient, kind and made what could have been a really daunting experience really fun! If you need a new pair of glasses give Specstacular a visit, you won't be disappointed! After months of exhausting high street opticians for a pair of big 70s frames, it was really uplifting to find an opticians that knew exactly what i wanted, and had so many beautiful, one of a kind frames, i was spoilt for choice. Not to mention such lovely and welcoming people that were genuinely interested in me, the best opticians I've met. My glasses were able to be made to my prescription then and there super quickly which was amazing.   Quite simply the most wonderful glasses shop in the whole of London, and quite possibly the whole world! Amazing owners, incredible selection and lovely customer service. This place is basically the Ollivanders of specs - where the glasses choose you! (Via the medium of the encyclopedic knowledge and close attention to detail from the owner, instead of magic, although I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually a wizard too...)   When I first moved to London I wasn't sure where to go/ who to trust. Hala and Keval are highly skilled and completed a thorough eye test for me and now I love my glasses so much. They both create a very relaxing environment so it feels like you're hanging out with your friends the whole time. I've never felt that glasses/ sunglasses looked good on me because of the shape of my face but Hala is an incredible stylist. I tried on multiple glasses frames and we went with the first ones she picked. I was so impressed I told her I was looking for a new pair of sunglasses and sent over a few images as a reference of what I was looking for. When I went to collect my glasses we tried on all of the sunglasses and again, I bought the first pair she suggested.   Love these people. Used them twice - once for vintage frames, once for an amazing German-made set of frames. Each time I went in with something in mind and came out with something completely different - I've never had anyone else ever who just looks at my face, my head shape, my style, and picks out something that I would never have thought of but which just looks so amazing. It's a real talent - and the stock they've got is exceptional, artisan frame-makers you won't find elsewhere, and an incredible collection of vintage frames, whether it's 50s or 80s or 00s hip hop. I've had a bad experience with getting varifocals from another optician but Spectacular's attention to detail got them spot on first time - fantastic results.   No doubt, this is the best glasses shop I have ever seen in my life!!!! I have recently bought a pair of cat eye glasses and I have to say it was hard to choose, because wherever you turn you see beautiful items and the shop in general it's so unique. Whatever taste you have, you can easily find something that you love and in many cases you would not see it anywhere else, especially for all the vintage frames.   I visited the shop to change my and my wife's current glasses. I am wearing eyewear for more than 30 years and I had many shapes of frames over the years. I was a bit reserved to order from them as they did not have big brands to sell (which I was hoping to find) but their collection and their patience to show me something new won. So, we ordered 2 completely new frames' shapes which fits wonderful on our faces. Execution was excellent too, small adjustments were done on the spot. Thank you guys. You rock!   I've worn glasses for the entirety of my life and have never had as positive an experience with eyewear than with Specstacular. They took a great deal of time to earnestly figure out what looked great on me and what fit with my personality. Their range of glasses is also astounding, leaning more towards pieces of art than utilitarian objects to help you see. Their frames are the first I'd rather be seen with glasses than without, I no longer put on glasses begrudgingly. I cannot recommend them highly enough.   Went in on a sunday and found the nicest pair of specs. Having spent 18 months looking for new glasses I finally found my dream pair. I had a new eye test and new lenses fitted within 60 mins!   Absolutely awesome! Quality eye test first at a great price and then these guys created the most amazing pair of bespoke glasses. I have a 'larger-than-average' face/head so glasses often look small on my face. They beautifully increased the proportions to keep the style I like but have them fit me much, much better. The smokey tortoiseshell-like material I picked looks absolutely awesome and I haven't stopped getting compliments on them since I got them. Besides the friendly and professional service (they do the whole shabang - tests, high quality lens cutting etc.) they have an amazing collection of mostly vintage (and all very cool) frames. They wont sell you anything mind, they're pretty determined that people only leave with frames that suit them, and they're happy to advise.   So happy I stumbled across this splendid eyewear store. Just off Brick Lane, Keval and Halla have created a haven for truly beautiful, groovy, unusual spectacles and sunglasses. They stock a huge range of vintage through to seriously cool, contemporary frames. They were really good at suggesting the right frames for my face shape and so forth...which I really appreciated, as I'm so picky and always find it so difficult to ever find glasses I like! An added bonus was Keval being able to make up my frames and lenses in 30 minutes, while I sat in a comfy leather chair, with a lovely cup of tea and a ginger bisuit :-) I am so happy with my stylish new glasses, had been looking around for ages! A massive, massive range of glasses - tonnes of new styles from some of the best well-known brands (Persol, Oliver Peoples etc.) but an even greater range of really really good quality lesser known brands. What's more, it's pretty much a museum of vintage designs that are all for sale. So many wonderful choices. Set aside a good bit of time and browse the endless options.
